While we don’t train Certified Peer Specialists or Certified Parent Peer Specialists, we certainly hire them! Therefore we like to share information from our partners page about the training process.

A Certified Peer Specialist is a professional who utilizes their personal lived experience to provide support to others and demonstrate that recovery is possible. A Certified Peer Specialist Course is 48 hours – upon completion of the course you will have to take an exam. Once you pass the exam, you are Certified as a Peer Specialist with the state.

Certified Parent Peer Specialists in our organization provide support and assistance to families with their children (youth and adult) experiencing substance use concerns.  Our Parent Peers walk along side other parents to support them as them as they navigate helping their child.  One of the most important values of a Parent Peer is providing non-judgmental support to the families they serve.
